A Little Bit About Me

You can ask whatever you wish, directly, as most people do not read bios. For those that will, I have included a few words below:
I am Saa'iy ibn Alli, born and raised in Queens, New York. Currently in Florida, with my family Home in Valley Stream, near Masjid Hamza.
Time is sacred. Would you not agree? It takes valuable time to find the half of your Deen. This cannot be rushed! I just want to make clear going in that there must be a potential for marriage. Anything else is a waste of that precious time. I will respect your time, as I respect my own.
If/when it becomes necessary, I can provide references to your Wali.
Anything I feel needs to be put forth, will be done early in our communication, so that there are no misunderstandings.
That being said, my current environment is ideal for the islamic courting process. It is safe for the honor of the Muslima; it lends itself to serious study and practice; it has taught me the true meaning of patience and sacrifice; it has allowed me to recalibrate my priorities.
I much prefer interactions to a bullet list of my supposed qualities.
I look forward to that interaction.
This Ramadan I am studying Surah An-Najm, and my first read of Razi on al-Fatiha. May you complete Ramadan and may it be accepted. Amin.

What I Am Looking For
I don't put expectations or limitations on such an important choice. Naturally, there must be compatibility. Unfortunately, there is no essay that will outline this. What Allah ta 'ala has for me, may not be what I expect.

A few things are a must, such as being unafraid to share her views, to ask the why of a thing, to check me with Qur'an and sunnah, be willing to point out things I don't see or might not want to hear.

Every woman has different qualities in a unique configuration. How do you describe that 'thing' that resides behind the eyes? I believe there is more wisdom to the eyes showing (no matter what degree of veil/ hijab) than simply being able to see.

Above all: The Deen. A partnership is one where we uplift and enhance, both teach and learn from, support and challenge - and enjoy each other's presence. Keeping each other on Islam in all aspects of practical living in daily life, in order to be successful not only here and now, but more importantly, to be successful and together in the Akhira - the TRUE meaning of always and forever.
